Welcome To Groveland Baptist

We At Groveland Baptist Invite You To Worship With Us! No Matter Where You Are At On Life’s Journey, You Are Welcome Here!

We believe that God loves all of creation, and through Jesus Christ we are brought into fellowship with God. We are a family, proclaiming the love and grace of God, as found in God's Word. All are welcome at Groveland Baptist - those who believe as well as those who are seeking.

At each service we gather for meaningful worship to study God’s word. We reach out with the heart of ministry to care for our neighbors in the name of Christ here and around the world. We have fun and fellowship in a variety of activities ranging from dinners to sporting events. As we work and worship together we find that our faith grows as we enjoy friends old and new.

You will discover many exciting opportunities at Groveland Baptist. Our website is just the introduction to the spirit of our church. We want you to feel at home and comfortable here. We are pleased to welcome you as part of a growing and diverse Christian community.

Back to Church on the 10th!

GBC welcomes guest and members back to church staring May 10th. We will have two Sunday Morning Services in the church at 9:15 am and 10:45 am.

The doors will open 15 minutes before each service for entry. We will practice social distancing and will mark our seating to make this possible. Families will sit together during worship services. We will not have nursery. Before and after each service, the building will be sanitized and all precautions for your safety will be taken.
You will notice that we will be doing some of our regular practices differently, so that we can avoid contact and provide a safe environment for our services. We will keep doors open for entry to avoid touching door handles, the offering will be taken by dropping your offering in a basket at the end of service, we will not have a greeting time in the service, the pews will be marked for seating to accomplish social distancing , no bulletins, no nursery and the Bibles and hymn books will be removed.

Covid-19 Update 5/3

Dear Groveland Family and Friends,

I wanted to give you an update on our Church schedule for May. As you know, these have been unusual times to navigate how we do Church. I am so grateful for how our church leadership and members have pulled together during these days. The next phase is the regathering of the church together again. My prayer is for all of us that we have realized the priority of the local church gathering for worship, Bible study and fellowship. Below you will see the first steps toward returning to a more regular schedule.

This Sunday May 3rd 10:45 am Drive-in Church Service.

The remaining Sunday’s in May, starting with the 10th, we will have two Sunday Morning Services at 9:15am and 10:45 am.

We are praying that soon we can add nursery, bible study on Sunday morning, then midweek activities and finally Sunday Evening. I am praying that by the end of June we will be back to a more normal schedule with the multiple opportunities for worship, bible study and fellowship for the whole family. Please pray for your leaders that we will make wise decisions as we strive to gather the church again.

Let me add that I am well aware of those of you who are most vulnerable to the virus. Please know that we understand your absence as you protect your health and look forward to the time you can join us too. We will broadcast the service to the parking lot if you want to just come and stay in your car and listen to the service. We will continue to offer the service online each week.

Remember that Bible study fellowship is available thru the zoom platform each week. Adults 6:00 pm Sunday evening, children 4:00 pm Wednesdays and students 8:00 pm Thursdays. If you have not received an email invitation let us know by sending an email to friend@grovelandbc.com. I agree with David in Psalm 122:1 “I WAS GLAD WHEN THEY SAID TO ME, LET US GO INTO THE HOUSE OF THE LORD.”

Love in Christ,

Pastor Paul
